BMO Financial Group/Lime Connect Canada Scholarship and Internship Program for Students with Disabilities

Application Guidelines
The BMO Financial Group/Lime Connect Canada Scholarship and Internship Program for Students with Disabilities is a program designed to attract talented students enrolled full-time in post-secondary education. Successful applicants will receive a scholarship, compete for a paid summer internship and ultimately land a job at graduation as a Financial Services Manager in BMO Financial Group's Personal and Commercial Banking Group. Comprehensive training, coaching and mentoring will all be provided to set you on the path for success.

The program consists of the following three stages:

Stage 1. A scholarship of $2,500 for one year is awarded to recognize the achievements of students with disabilities who are enrolled in full-time studies at an accredited Canadian post-secondary college or university.

Stage 2. Students awarded scholarships will be eligible to compete for a four-month paid internship as a Financial Services Intern. In this program, interns will be provided with training, coaching and mentoring throughout the four-month period from May to August 2010. No prior experience in the financial services industry is required.

Stage 3. Upon successful completion of the internship, a permanent full-time position as a Financial Services Manager will be offered at graduation.

Who is eligible?

Applicants who meet all the following criteria will be considered for the program. There are no age restrictions.
- Person with a disability *
- Registered in full-time studies at an accredited Canadian post-secondary university or college (a minimum of at least 40 per cent of a full course load)
- Canadian resident eligible to legally work in Canada
- Express an interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry

How do I apply?
To be considered for the program, you are required to complete:
A. Application Form
B. Signed Declaration and Consent Form

In addition, the following four Supporting Documents are also required:
1. Essay to get to know you better (1,000 words or less; see Application Form for details)
2. Up-to-date résumé
3. Two letters of reference
4. Confirmation of full-time enrolment at an accredited Canadian post-secondary university or college (a minimum of at least 40 per cent of a full course load)

Once you have completed the two forms and have the four supporting documents, your application package is considered complete.
