Scholarship Description
The University of Ilorin, Ilorin, through its Centre for International Education (CIE), offers Scholarship Opportunities for International Students from any country of the world and in any field of their interest.

The CIE International scholarship offer is opened to both undergraduate and graduate students up to Master level.

The CIE International Scholarships is a FULL scholarship covering all aspects of the students' needs. Eligible applicants, both from within and without Africa, are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
(i). Undergraduate:
Applicant must meet the admission requirements of the University i.e. 5 credits ‘O’ level or its equivalent for candidate seeking admission to the first year of the first degree programmes and two ‘A’ level plus 3 ‘O’ level credits (or its equivalent) for candidates seeking admission into the second year of the programme.

(ii). Graduate:
Applicants must meet admission requirements of Master programme of the University i.e. Second Class Honours, (Upper Division) or the equivalent in the bachelor degree.

Additional Requirements:
Applicants must submit:
a). Evidence of medical fitness and
b). Evidence of proficiency in English Language.

For the duration of the bachelors or masters degree programme

Scholarship benefits
The scholarship will cover the following:
  1. Tuition fees;
  2. Subsistence allowance;
  3. Miscellaneous allowance;
  4. Free accommodation;
  5. Transportation allowance to and from Ilorin (once per session);
  6. Complimentary access to the facilities of the University Health Services.

Candidates should visit the University of Ilorin website (see link below) and download the application form, complete it and forward three copies to:

Candidates may also forward their application electronically to cie@unilorin.edu.ng provided that all relevant documents are attached. All applications must be submitted on or before the deadline date as indicated below.

DEADLINES:
Applications and requested documents must be submitted and reach the university on or before the 27th September every year.

The University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a university in Ilorin, Nigeria. It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in 1975 and is a federal government owned tertiary institution of education located in Ilorin, Kwara State, western Nigeria. The ancient city of Ilorin, capital of Kwara State, is about 300 km from Lagos and 500 km from Abuja, the country's administrative capital.

    1. Hi @Annonymous, eligible groups that can apply are 'All eligible International Students within and outside Africa'; so YES Nigerians can also apply. The important thing is to meet all 'Eligibility' criteria. Please, see 'Eligibility' as detailed above.
